It was good day, and unexpected good day on the bike. After I begged Solbiskit to forgive for my acting up yesterday my soul needed an easy and quiet day. I was expecting it to be hard today, I was expecting to be achey as I crawled out of bed. But it was quite the opposite in fact. I woke up easily and felt...fine. No soreness and I felt refreshed.
The whole way in this morning I was thinking 'oh man that 1 long hill is going to kill me!' I was half way up before I remembered that it was supposed to hurt. Then as I was on the last quarter mile I realized I forgot my lock! I had taken it off for the Labor Day ride...I actually thought about turning around and going back- I felt that fresh! Then I remembered that this happened once before when I first started commuting and I left my bike at the
gym, the front desk people watched it all day for me. They did it again today no problem, it's a good back up. I'm lucky to have the gym right in the basement of my building at work.
These two pictures show my mecca bike lane. The bike lane that appears out of no where (as most do) and ends 1 block before my building. It's my cool down lane in the mornings to let my heart rate come down. I know it's false security, but it's comfortable.
