Well, actually I do know the reasons:
- Jill is a great writer and I love her pictures, they make me homesick. She also has a really great blogroll which I use daily!
- Doug inspires me to challenge what I always believed biking to be about. I can carry almost anything and go anywhere on a bike, he's helped me a lot in that continuous journey and to just do it, just ride.
- Fatty just plain cracks me up. Hilarious is all I have to say- and definitely bike humor, non-bike people probably won't get it! With all that he has going on his life, he is also an inspiration to take it all one joke at a time and live to be on the bike!
My other blog
It has been more a ramble and hasn't had much focus, I'm going to use it to just blog away and continue to ramble. It started as a kind of journal/diary of me living in Atlanta, then became my dog walkin blog, then just a way to keep in touch with family and friends and post pictures. Then as my blogroll grew and other people found me out on the web- soon I realized that my blog was really lacking in the focus department. My friends and family have been commenting of late that my blog has a lot of posts about my bike- they say this with a roll of the eyes. I'm not sure how often I'll keep up the posts, maybe just weekly or whenever I feel like it. I plan to keep that blog to post pictures of my dogs and flowers and Christmas presents- you know, stuff that isn't bike-related but that enriches my life and I want to remember. If the Christmas presents are bike-related I'll probably link the two blogs together, that seems to make sense. But we'll figure that out when we get there....
About life via bike
I started full time bike commuting only 3 months ago, but it is the most natural thing in the world to me. I've always rode and drooled over bike porn and had dreams about bikes and rides and epic adventures. It's like I found myself by parking my car. I just can't imagine ever going back to being a slave of the automobile. I have always hated driving. Check back with me in a few years, we'll see where I am then. I have an inkling that I'll still be riding my bike full time. That's where this blog comes into play... I wanted a place to write, and reflect about my bike life out in the open. This is my putting my bike lust out there in the public for all to witness my strange obsession of two wheels. Well, this is me and my life.... via bike.
